REGULAR HEALTH CHECK-UP
STARTING THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR HEALTHY
To support children’s health and well-being throughout the new school year, Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK organized a routine health check-up for all children. During the check-up, doctors assessed their physical development, blood pressure, respiratory and cardiovascular health, as well as ear, nose and throat conditions.
The results help the school and parents monitor each child’s health and provide appropriate care. This is also an opportunity for children to become familiar with health check-ups, learn to listen to their bodies and gradually develop healthy habits from an early age.
LITTLE HANDS, BIG DISCOVERIES
What secrets lie within the giant book at the Wolf House? The unexpected arrival of Dorothy, her little dog Toto, and a mysterious letter opened the door to the magical Land of Oz, setting the Little Wolves off on an enchanting journey through the pages of books.
The children eagerly turned the pages, searching for their favorite characters and pictures before sharing their choices with teachers and friends. Through this experience, they had the opportunity to develop their observation skills, critical thinking, and ability to express their thoughts, while nurturing a love of reading from an early age.

FAIRY TALE DETECTIVES: WHO VISITED
THE LITTLE WOLVES?
A little red cloak, a small basket and some mysterious footprints… Which fairy-tale character has come to visit the Little Wolves’ classroom? Becoming little detectives, the children eagerly followed the clues, explored the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" and discovered familiar characters and objects along the way.
As part of Book Project Week at Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, the “Fairy Tale Detectives” activity turned familiar stories into an exciting journey of discovery. Through each clue and challenge, children developed their observation, memory, language and logical thinking skills while nurturing their curiosity and love for fairy tales.

FAIRY TALES, REIMAGINED BY
OUR LITTLE STORYTELLERS
“What if Cinderella had never lost her glass slipper?” Inspired by this interesting question, our Little Wolves imagined new possibilities and continued the story of Cinderella in their own ways, creating unique versions of the beloved fairy tale.
Through the “What If the Story Were Different?” activity, part of Book Week Project, our students practiced storytelling with character stick puppets, learning to connect and arrange events in a logical sequence to tell a coherent story from beginning to end. Along the way, they had the opportunity to strengthen their language skills, develop creative thinking, and build confidence in expressing their own ideas.

LITTLE ARCHITECTS AND THE CHALLENGE OF BUILDING A STURDY HOUSE
Inspired by “The Three Little Pigs,” the student explored familiar materials such as straw, wooden sticks, and bricks, discovering why some houses are easily blown down by the Wolf while others stand firm. Drawing inspiration from the story, they worked together to design and build houses as a team before taking on the “Big Bad Wolf Challenge” to test the strength of their creations.
As part of the Book Project Week at Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, fairy tales became the starting point for exciting STEAM experiences, helping children develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills and teamwork through observation, experimentation and creativity.

INSPIRING A LOVE OF READING WITH
AUTHOR CÁT TƯỜNG
A “sick” refrigerator, an electric fan “turned hero”, or a “rebellious” second hand? These imaginative ideas opened up a delightful world of stories for the children at CVK during a special meet-and-greet with author Cát Tường as part of the Book Week Project “A Magical Journey Through the Pages”.
Through her gentle storytelling and engaging approach, she introduced the children to meaningful tales inspired by everyday objects. These stories invited them to discover the wonders hidden in familiar things, appreciate the unique value of ordinary objects, and nurture their imagination, curiosity, and love of reading from an early age.
When parents open a book and begin telling a story, a magical world unfolds before our Little Wolves! From attentive eyes and delighted smiles to their curious little questions, every moment makes reading with their parents a truly special experience at the Wolf House.
As part of Book Week at Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, the Butterfly and Dragonfly classes welcomed some very special storytellers. Turning the pages together, children were encouraged to let their imaginations run free, discover new things, and develop their language skills and empathy. More than just a reading session, it was also a chance for parents and children to share joy and create meaningful moments of connection through stories.
Throughout October, the Little Wolves explored the value of Responsibility through an engaging play and familiar activities such as making posters, cleaning their personal belongings, helping others and keeping their play areas clean and tidy. Through these experiences, children learned to care for themselves, show consideration for others and take responsibility for their shared environment.
At Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, we believe every Wellbeing Day moment is an opportunity for children to learn something new, practise good habits and gradually grow into responsible, caring and sharing individuals.
WELLBEING DAY - OCTOBER
NURTURING A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY FROM AN EARLY AGE
Small watering cans, soft garden soil, and CVK’s lush green garden offer the Little Wolves exciting opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences. From scooping soil and watering plants to using gardening tools and caring for plants, the children are excited to get hands-on, observe, and discover the fascinating world around them.
Through gardening lessons, children not only enjoy spending time in nature but also develop their observation skills, refine their fine motor skills, and become more active participants in their own learning. These experiences help them grow more confident in trying new things and deepen their understanding of the world through hands-on exploration.
WHAT CAN CHILDREN LEARN FROM
EVERY KEY THEY PLAY?
For young children, every moment spent listening to sounds, touching piano keys or trying out a rhythm is an opportunity to explore the world of music and develop control over their hand movements. Through interacting with musical instruments, children gradually develop their musical awareness, hand-eye coordination, concentration and memory. These experiences also nurture patience, confidence and the ability to express emotions in their own unique ways.
At Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, children are introduced to musical instruments through regular curriculum lessons and extracurricular classes, allowing them to explore instruments and gradually develop their appreciation for music from an early age.
FROM A LITTLE CHESSBOARD TO
LIFE'S FIRST LESSONS
Did you know that for preschoolers, every game of chess is more than just an intellectual challenge? It can also be a little classroom for learning essential life skills.
During the after-school chess club at Sedbergh Vietnam - CVK, students are encouraged to explore each move independently, learning to make confident decisions, observe outcomes and adjust their strategies when facing challenges. Taking turns and following the rules also help them develop respect and cooperation with their peers.
WHEN THE BODY BECOMES A CHILD’S LANGUAGE
During the preschool years, as language skills are still developing, children have many ways to express themselves without words. Through learning, play, music and movement, they are encouraged to express their feelings, needs and connect with others through eye contact and gestures. At the Wolf House, listening to children means more than simply hearing their words. It also means taking a moment to observe their expressions and little movements, allowing us to better understand each child’s unique world.
BEHIND EVERY HIGH FIVE
Whenever they complete a task, the Little Wolves eagerly seek out their teachers to celebrate with a high-five. For the children, it is a joy worth sharing. For their teachers, it is a simple way to encourage them and acknowledge their efforts.
Sometimes, what helps young children grow in confidence is not grand praise, but timely recognition from those who are always there to support them. A high-five, a few words of encouragement, or a reassuring look from a teacher can help children feel that their efforts truly matter, inspiring them to try new things with greater confidence and embrace new experiences as they grow.
